How to name your tracks for CrimeSonics
Here’s the good news! Naming your track is more science than art and with these easy tips, it’s not hard to come up with acgreat name! Your track's title should reflect 3 things:
1. The emotion of the track
2. The volume/release your track will live on
3. The library your track was commissioned by, in this case: CRIMESONICS.
Consider this scenario. You’ve written a track for a CyberCrime release. It’s fast-paced, full of techy loops, features action percussion, gritty synth lines and soaring strings. You could come up with a general “crimey” sounding title like, “Catching Criminals,” or “Speedy Getaway,” or Police Chase right? Nope!!! Even though these titles did do a great job of summing up the emotion of the track and even reflecting the heart of the library, they did NOT identify the volume/release they will live on. How much better would the title “Catching Cyber Criminals,” or “Fast Hackers” or “Searching Circuits” have been?
The latter titles also use terms that narrow the focus to the CyberCrime volumes/releases as well. Be sure your title reflects all 3. Again, your tracks title should reflect the Emotion, the Volume/Release, the Library.
